How do we contribute? Located next to such a valuable natural area as the Tatra National Park, we cannot pretend that our actions do not affect the environment in a somewhat destructive way. Being aware of how much hospitality services burden nature every day, we decided to create a place that will be a model of ecological approach for others. Every day we try to leave as little trace as possible on our planet and we want to encourage our guests to do so – of course, while maintaining a high, hotel standard. New life of old objects The construction of the detached house began in the 1970s on the plot where Green Deer Premium stands today. The construction was never completed and the building deteriorated year by year. In 2016 one thing was certain – it should be demolished. But before the demolition, we secured everything that could be reused: We brushed the old wooden windows down and made mirrors out of them; The parquet floor, kept in boxes and never used, was applied on the walls, and the tables from it were made for us by GMO Design; GMO Design turned the old oak stair risers into beautiful tables in the dining room. Most of the furniture was made for us by GMO Design, using recycled wood. The wood on the suite walls was also reused. The bricks that decorate the suites are also reclaimed demolition bricks. A long life of new objects We have chosen good-quality materials to enjoy their charm for as long as possible and not to produce unnecessary waste. A good design is, in our opinion, durable and timeless. We have chosen the products of great Polish and global designers, which are beautiful and functional, together with their sturdy and versatile design. Clean air Heating and hot water in Green Deer Premium is provided by Geotermia Podhalańska, thanks to which we have reduced our carbon footprint to a minimum. We have also consciously resigned from wood-burning fireplaces in our suites. Zakopane has been struggling with smog in winter for years and we did not want to be part of its formation. All equipment in the building has a high energy efficiency class. The entire lighting system is based on LED lights. Even if it doesn't seem to be the case.

Tap water We do not serve bottled water to our guests because it generates huge amounts of waste (in the case of water in plastic bottles) or an increased carbon footprint (in the case of the bottling and transport of water in glass bottles). Instead, we have a water treatment plant in the building, which makes the healthy and ecological tap water even more tasty and available in unlimited quantities and at any time for all our guests. Waste We segregate waste and encourage our guests to do so by providing them with a convenient and clear system of waste segregation. This is not only our statutory duty, but also an obligation towards wildlife and the entire planet.  After all, the more waste we recover, the less it goes to a landfill. Electric cars We value guests who value nature. Each parking space in the underground garage is equipped with a charging station. Towels and bedding Millions of towels worldwide are washed in hotels every day. It's such a huge environmental impact, associated with the consumption of water, electricity and detergents, that we find it difficult to accept. That's why we ask our guests to use towels longer than 24 hours at Green Deer Premium. Cosmetics Of course, we offer our guests the necessary cosmetics of the highest quality, but we have deliberately resigned from small, disposable packaging. Our cosmetics are organic, made from natural ingredients, vegan and cruelty-free. This is the most important thing for us. Breakfasts Our breakfasts are based on local and seasonal products. We want our carbon footprint to be as low as possible and, at the same time, serve our guests delicious, healthy and varied products every day. We serve everything that is healthy for people and environmentally friendly. We focus on variety, an abundance of vegetables and fruits, self-pressed juices and healthy breakfast supplements, which we prepare according to our own recipes.
